Government Funding
15-Hour Universal Funding: Available to all children from the term after their 3rd birthday. We offer a stretched model across 51 weeks, which equates to 11.18 funded hours per week.
30-Hour Working Families Extended Funding: Eligible families may receive up to 30 hours of funding. Under the stretched model (51 weeks), this equates to 22.35 funded hours per week.
Additional Service Charge
Funded places have an Additional Service Charge (ASC) to cover the charges of the daily consumables that are not covered by the Government Funded Hours.
Children’s Place want to be as transparent as possible about how we use contributions toward daily consumables. These charges are voluntary and are not a condition of accessing your child’s funded nursery place.
The ASC helps cover the cost of essential items such as meals, snacks, single use consumables such as wipes and suncream, and enrichment activities such as visits by special visitors and sports day. It also includes the cost of additional resources purchased for weekly celebratory, festival and themed events. Some examples would include spa days, nursery pets, religious festivals, national themed days, local walks and outings.
Opting out of the ASC charge, will require you to bring everything for your child that they use and consume at nursery, over and above what nursery supplies for education.

Current Additional Service Charge Fees
Full Day – £15.48 per day comprising of
Meals: 2 Course Lunch and 2 Course Tea £8.80
2 Snacks £2.00
Consumables: wipes, tissues, suncream etc. £2.00
Enhanced activities: Visits by special visitors, Baking, Local Trips, Celebrations etc. £2.68
Half Day – £7.74 per day comprising of
1 x 2 Course Meal £4.40
1 Snack £1.00
Consumables: wipes, tissues, suncream etc. £1.00
Enhanced activities: Visits by special visitors, Baking, Local Trips, Celebrations etc. £1.34
Additional charges for trips involving hiring a coach, entrance fees, hiring outside halls for parties and events outside of the usual opening hours will be communicated to parents in advance of the event and it is your choice if you wish to join in and pay for these activities.
No refunds of ASC will be given for absence due to illness.
Children’s Place will work with parents to ensure that as far as possible the funded sessions are convenient for parents’ working hours subject to availability.
