Continuing with our Spooky week, the toddlers have been carving their pumpkins. There has been a lot of conversations about the smell and feel of the pumpkin seeds inside. We had very mixed reviews!! The children, who liked the feel of the pumpkin, enjoyed playing and exploring all parts of the pumpkin.
We have been enjoying a spooky week this week! The pre-school children have been creating their own and carving pumpkins. They have dressed up, played 'find the eyeballs' and had a Halloween party with lots of scary (but tasty) foods to taste!
Our children in the Toddler room have taken home these Autumn bags. We are hoping that our children can go out with their families and look at the wonderful Autumn changes happening. We can’t wait for the children to bring their bags back to nursery for us all to look at what everyone has found!
The babies have been using resources around the room (mainly animals as we have a lot of interest at the moment) and hiding objects under materials. The children out our Halifax Nursery enjoyed a Pirate Day! They played with the sand and water, enjoying the different textures as well as lots of role pay in the sand area. They went on a treasure hunt and even found a gold coin at the end! They, of course, had fish for dinner.
The children at our Halifax nursery enjoyed a Teddy Bears' Picnic last week. They spent the day reading stories to the teddies, decorating teddy bear pictures and, most importantly, enjoyed a picnic!
