The children attending our Dewsbury nursery were introduced to the caterpillars that they will nurture. They have enjoyed the story of the very hungry caterpillar, what he got up to on his travels through the pages and why he felt a little queasy. The enjoyed using red and green paints and felt pens to represent their own caterpillars. The children also explored ice that had frozen caterpillars inside and had to free them. They practised their fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination by threading leaves. The children are very excited about the caterpillars. Watch this space!!!!!
