Pre-School Sports Day

The Pre-School children recently took part in a sports day. They had the opportunity to take part in lots of fun activities including running, sack, bean bag and egg and spoon races. The children were especially excited and proud to receive a medal and certificate at the end of the day to share with their family.

Ladybirds at our Halifax nursery

The children found lots of ladybirds on a bamboo tree in our sensory part of the garden. They were fascinated and it led to lots of amazing questions from the children and they all learnt some wonderful ladybird facts … who knew there are 5000 different species of lady birds and can live between 1-2 years!

Car Mark Making

The children attending our Barkerend nursery have been showing an interest in mark making and cars, so we put the two together to make car painting marks.  This became a very popular activity, the children explored the different marks making big and small car marks and also hand and finger prints.

Hungry Caterpillars

The toddlers attending our Dewsbury nursery have been really interested in observing the caterpillars and have already noticed and commented that they are growing bigger.  The toddlers have used green and red fruits to make their own yummy caterpillar fruit kebab.  They also used their fingers to make marks in paint to represent their caterpillars.
